We’re thrilled to share that HUM was recently featured on ABC15’s Sonoran Living! Our Co-founder and CEO, Chris Kolb, joined the show to discuss how HUM is transforming ride services with a model that benefits both drivers and riders. The segment highlighted what makes HUM unique, the community impact we’re creating, and why we’re building something better for everyone who relies on transportation.
On Sonoran Living, Chris explained the core of what sets HUM apart. Traditional rideshare models have left both drivers and riders frustrated—drivers face declining earnings, while riders deal with rising fares and inconsistent experiences. HUM was built to change that.
Here’s how:
One of the highlights of the segment was HUM’s focus on community. As Chris shared, over $50 million leaves the Phoenix economy every single month due to platform commissions from various rideshare apps. At HUM, we’re committed to keeping 100% of fares local, empowering drivers and strengthening the communities we serve.
We’re also proud to partner with the Arizona Food Bank Network (read more here). For every on-demand ride taken, HUM donates $2 to help fight food insecurity. That $2 translates to 10 pounds of nutritious produce distributed to food banks across the state—a meaningful way to make every ride count and fight hunger.
As Chris mentioned on Sonoran Living, we’re excited to welcome new riders with $5 off their first ride. This offer is a gift from our drivers, who are eager to build connections with riders and showcase the difference a HUM ride can make.

At HUM, we’re reimagining what ride services can be—fairer, safer, and more community-focused. Whether you’re a driver looking to take control of your earnings or a rider seeking a better transportation experience, we invite you to be part of the journey.
